Skin tags are small, soft, benign growths that hang off the skin. They are made of loose collagen fibers and blood vessels and are typically found in areas where skin rubs against skin, such as the neck, armpits, and groin.

Our doctor will typically use methods such as cryotherapy (freezing), cauterization (burning), or surgical removal to safely remove skin tags. The process is quick and effective, usually taking just a few minutes per skin tag.

Once a skin tag is removed, it does not typically grow back in the same spot. However, new skin tags can form in other areas. We can advise you on how to best care for your skin to prevent future growth.
